About The En Sound Music Awards

Founded in 2006, the En Sound Music Awards (ESMA) is the Premier and the world's most recognized Indie Gospel Music Award show of its kind, garnering votes from 41 countries. It provides an outlet where indie and unsigned artists are recognized for their contribution to the Christian/Gospel music community, awarding them in multiple categories and various genres of Christian/Gospel music. In addition, the En Sound Music Awards has created an outlet where these artists can be seen and heard nationally and internationally, thus exposing their work to a global audience. In the past, the indie artists have attempted to create a demo to present to a major label in hopes of being discovered. The music industry was a much closed entity that did not allow these artists much. Another challenge the indie artists faced was the limited access to radio due to politics and the pay-for-play mentality that existed in radio promotion. Indie artists now have access to technology that they previously only dream of. This year, we have embarked on another chapter in our ministry--presenting the En Sound Music Awards exclusively online for the very first time, and the winners will be announced on Monday, October 21, 2013. The internet has opened up so many new possibilities, and we want to be in on the cutting edge of it all. We encourage you to continue supporting this vital event as you do in previous years.
