The public will vote for their favorite artists in each category; the four artists with the most votes from each category will be in the final running, then the artists with the most votes from each category will be awarded trophies at the night of the event. Trophies will be handed out in the following categories.

5. Best Urban Artist, Female
6. Female Vocalist of the Year
7. Male Vocalist of the Year

10. Best Caribbean/Reggae Song
11. Best Caribbean/Reggae Artist
12. Artist of the Year
13. Song of the Year
14. Album of the Year
15. Best Music Video
16. Hip Hop Artist of the Year
